New Music Monday - Gorilla Remix

Every time this song comes on I instantly bust out the air microphone and belt my lungs out.  I'm actually convinced I can sing it better than Bruno Mars at times until my boyfriend politely reminds me how I should never try out for Canadian Idol.

The remix to Bruno Mars' hit is featuring Pharrell and R. Kelly and has made me fall in love with this song all over again!

Peep the remix below.

Holiday Gift Guide: The Perfect Hostess Gift

A true hostess is the type who is always thinking of others, so she rarely has time to treat herself.  This year, indulge your favorite entertainer with something fabulous that lets her know just how much you appreciate all her cooking, decorating, prepping and planning.
Instead of a boring ol' bottle of Cab Sav, give your hostess friend something truly unique that you know she will actually want to use during one of her famous parties.
I've put together a list of the hottest hostess must-haves, plus, I am pretty positive these gifts will guarantee you an invite to her next big dinner party.

Designer Spotlight: Rudsak

I've been in search of the perfect puffer jacket.  My go-to would have initially been the Mackage puffer, but then I stumbled upon this Montreal based brand Rudsak.

Rudsak is a brand born out of passion and loyalty; passion for creating designs that celebrate the uniqueness of the wearer, and loyalty to creativity and quality.

The brand was founded in Montreal, in 1994 by its visionary and creative leader Evik Asatoorian.  Since its launch, Rudsak has grown into one of Canada’s leading fashion brands synonymous with quality, craftsmanship and international instinct.  James Dean’s rebellious allure and Audrey Hepburn’s pristine elegance have inspired Evik throughout the years.

You can purchase Rudsak's beautiful coats (and for a lot less expensive than Mackage coats) here

To Travel In Style

We all dream of walking through the airport laden with glossy matching luggage all stacked up neatly on an airport cart, preferably being pushed by a team of good-looking security dressed in all black, don't we?!

If you're nodding your head right now, this post is most certainly for you.
Its that time of year that most of us are arriving at work when it is still slightly dark and leaving work when its getting dark.  The simple task of getting out of bed every morning  has become the ultimate chore.  I catch myself daydreaming at work about warm exotic places and even find myself flipping through my phone at old vacation photos.  If the dark and cold winter season ahead isn't enough motivation for you took book a holiday, a new and stylish suitcase will be.

Although I am sure your functional and durable ordinary Black Samsonite does the trick, it probably isn't giving you the thrill you need.   Peep below to view my favourite stylish high and low travel gear....

Holiday Gift Guide: What to buy the fashionista

I know what you're thinking, it's only the beginning of November!  The Christmas displays have already started popping up in the department stores, which means its probably time to start shopping for holiday gifts...or at least thinking about it.  Not sure what to get the fashion-obsessed loved one?  This year I recommend a pretty fashion coffee table book.

The things you keep on your coffee table say a lot about who you are and where you've been.  For anyone who has a passion for interior decor, a coffee table is not just a place to put your feet up on, or just another countertop that holds your miscellaneous items after you walk in the door.  Candles, trays and coffee table books definitely can turn any boring old table to something fabulous and unique.

Without further ado, check below to see 5 coffee table books  that any fashionista on your Christmas list would love (and if you end up keeping it for yourself, that's okay.  I won't tell!).

1.

Carine Roitfeld - Irreverent

"This book is an enormous, in-depth photographic look back at the life of one of the most interesting, talented and game-changing fashion editors ever. From Carine's most iconic Vogue shoots to photos of her as a child to thank-you notes from Tom Ford, this is full of goodies."

Available here

2.

Christian Louboutin

Anyone who has owned or even just seen this man's beautiful creations, knows exactly the beauty that is inside the pages of this book.  Loads of photographs, a look back at Louboutin's career, and behind-the-scenes access to his studios and homes.

Available here

3.

Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

This beautiful book features images of the late Alexander McQueen's most influential and iconic designs from 1995 through to the final show.

Available here

4.

Tom Ford

A complete catalogue of the designer's work for both Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, chronicling his transformation of the Gucci brand over the past decade and his vision for its future.

Available here

5.

Chanel 3-Book Slipcase

This three-book set examines Chanel's everlasting legacy via the creative trilogy that made her brand famous; fashion, jewellery and perfume.

Available here
